Fair Use & Anti-Abuse Policy

A short set of ground rules so the free tier stays free for real sellers. Almost no one bumps into any of this. It exists to stop a small number of people from gaming the economy at everyone else's expense. None of it limits your mandatory rights under EU and Dutch consumer law.
One free grant per person
Every new account gets a one-time free credit grant, enough to render one complete ad. That grant is one per person and one per business. We count closely related accounts, for example the same person, payment method, device, or organization, as one.
Please do not create duplicate or multiple accounts to farm more free credits. When we reasonably determine that accounts were made to do this, we may remove the extra accounts, decline future free grants, and reclaim any credits obtained that way, whether or not they have already been spent. Detecting this involves limited account and device signals, described in our Privacy Policy. We keep the free tier generous precisely because most people use it as intended.
Credits and accounts are not transferable
Credits are tied to your account. You cannot share, sell, trade, or transfer credits or accounts to anyone else. The free grant in particular is not money and can never be cashed out, refunded, or transferred. Credits linked to fraud or abuse are non-refundable and may be reclaimed.
No automated access or scraping
Do not access Overlume through bots, scripts, or scrapers, and do not resell or redistribute the service or access to it, except through an official API under its own terms, if and when we offer one. This restricts resale of the service, not the finished ads you own and create. Do not circumvent rate limits or usage caps, and do not reverse engineer, or attempt to extract or replicate, the generation pipeline, its models, or its prompts, except to the extent applicable law does not allow us to restrict this.
Reasonable use
We may apply reasonable-use limits and rate limits to keep Overlume fast and reliable for everyone. Normal work as a seller will never come close to them. Abusive volume, the kind meant to overload or exploit the service rather than make ads, can be throttled or suspended.
When we step in
Where we reasonably determine that these rules were broken, we may reclaim credits obtained through fraud, error, or abuse, and we may suspend or terminate the account. Where a suspension is for cause, we may withhold refunds on that account, and consumed credits are never refunded. This is different from you choosing to close your own account. We will normally tell you why, and you can reach us to sort it out. None of this affects your statutory rights under EU and Dutch consumer law.
