Acceptable Use Policy

Overlume is a tool for making legitimate product ads. Here is what that means, and what it does not allow.
What Overlume is for
Overlume exists to help e-commerce sellers turn a product link into a post-ready ad. That is the only thing it is for. The rules on this page are non-negotiable, they apply to everyone, and we enforce them.
Overlume produces AI-generated output that you review and are responsible for before you publish it. You bring the products, brands, logos, and likenesses, and you are responsible for holding the rights to them and for following the law and the ad policies of wherever you post. See our Terms.
Prohibited content
Child sexual abuse material is absolutely prohibited. This includes any sexual content involving a minor and any content that sexualizes a minor in any way, whether real, AI-generated, synthetic, or drawn. There is no artistic, fictional, or any other exception. Confirmed child sexual abuse material results in an instant permanent ban with no appeal. We preserve the content and account data as required by law and report it to the appropriate authorities, including NCMEC and the relevant national hotlines and law enforcement. We are not obligated to warn you before we act.
Beyond that absolute line, you may not use Overlume to create, upload, or distribute any of the following.
- Pornography or sexually explicit and adult sexual content. This is not that kind of platform.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery, deepfake nudity, or sexual content depicting a real person without their consent.
- A real person's face, voice, or likeness without their rights and consent, or the impersonation of a brand or person you do not represent.
- Brands, logos, characters, trademarks, or copyrighted material you do not have the rights to use.
- Deceptive, illegal, or harmful ads, including scams, fraud, deceptive claims, illegal goods such as drugs or weapons, hate, harassment, and violence.
- Malware, spam, and any abuse of the platform or its generation pipeline.
- Anything that violates the ad policies of the destination platform your ad is made for, such as TikTok, Meta, Google, or YouTube.
Fair use of the service
One free grant per person, no duplicate accounts to farm credits, no reselling or automated abuse of the service. The full rules, and how we enforce them, live in our Fair Use Policy.
Enforcement
We may review content and accounts, remove content, and suspend or permanently terminate any account that breaks these rules. On a for-cause ban we may withhold refunds, reclaim credits obtained through fraud, error, or abuse, and report illegal activity to the authorities. Credits already consumed are forfeited and are not refunded on a for-cause ban, because they pay for compute we have already spent.
For actions other than the child-safety cases above, we will tell you the reason for the action and how to contest it, and you can reach us at the address below. Nothing in this policy removes the statutory rights you have as an EU or Netherlands consumer, and nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Dutch or EU law. Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund and Credits Policy, which we do not override here, except that a for-cause termination forfeits refunds and consumed credits. Your responsibilities on this page also sit alongside our Terms.
Reporting abuse
If you see content or activity on Overlume that breaks these rules, if you are a rights holder reporting infringement, or if you believe an action against your account was wrong, tell us at hello@ethernus.ai. We take every report seriously, we act on what we find, and where we suspect illegal content we may refer it to the authorities.
